General Hospital Spoilers and Rumors: Lesley Webber Headed Back To Port Charles To Help Laura?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) might be coming to Port Charles, NY for a visit soon. It would make sense, considering Laura Collins (Genie Francis) could certainly use the support of her mother, with Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) in a coma from which she may never wake up!

General Hospital Spoilers – Lesley Webber Is Closely Tied To Current Storylines Involving Laura Collin’s Past-One, The Hamilton Case

Laura is supposed to receive an unexpected visitor this week on GH – and it could be Lesley. (Denise Alexander) She is closely tied to current storylines involving Laura’s past. One involves the redacted case file Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) requested that has been revealed to be from Laura’s murder, as a teenager, of David Hamilton (Jerry Ayres). Hamilton was a college professor who was injured and came as a patient to General Hospital. He was also a former college roommate of Rick Webber’s (Chris Robinson).

When he was released, in a wheelchair because no one on staff at GH at that time could figure out why he couldn’t walk, Rick invited him to move in with him, Lesley and Laura. Lesley didn’t trust Hamilton at all, although Laura (Genie Francis) was very open with him. He finally moved out and got his own place during the time that Laura had started dating Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner). David’s late wife had been obsessed with Rick, and David wanted revenge so he started chasing after Lesley. When Lesley rebuffed him, he went after Laura – and Laura became smitten with him.

Nowadays, David would have been considered as a sexual predator grooming underage Laura for sexual abuse, but back in the late 1970s, people didn’t think that way. Laura got a passionate crush on David, and they started having an affair! David made plans to flee Port Charles after it was discovered he was buying up land in order to defraud the hospital. Laura wanted to flee with him but he refused, telling her he’d only been using her to get back at her parents.

In a fit of rage, Laura pushed him against the brick hearth of a fireplace and died. Lesley took the blame and tried to cover up for Laura at first but later the truth came out after psychiatrist Peter Taylor (Craig Huebing) helped Laura remember that night. She later confessed, although the judge deemed it an accidental death and she only did six months probation.

GH Spoilers – Lesley Webber Is Also Closely Tied To The Investigation Into The Patient In The Wilson Street House

Lesley is also closely tied to the investigation into the patient in the Wilson Street house in Astoria, Oregon that Laura herself and Curtis and Jordan Ashford (Donnell Turner, Briana Nicole Henry) have been involved in. It turns out that the patient Cyrus was housing there was Florence Grey (Anne Collings). Florence Grey was married to Gordon Grey (Sherman Howard, Eric Server).

Professor Gordon Grey was Laura’s biological father. As she recently revealed to Curtis Ashford, Lesley had been told she was dead, but in reality she was put up for adoption and raised by the Vining family. Lesley tracked Laura down as a teenager and brought her into her home, although the Vinings remained close friends. Laura’s adoptive sister, Amy Vining (Shell Kepler) worked at GH as the first nosy Nurse Amy for many years.

Although Lesley may just drop in for a motherly visit to spend some time during the Christmas holiday with Laura because of the crisis with Lulu, (Emme Rylan) she very well may be an integral part of filling in the gaps in these cases as well!
