Well after his death, the animosity continued until Gail Baldwin’s death seemed to bring them to an understanding.

General Hospital Spoilers – Rick Webber Was Engaged To Monica Quartermaine

General Hospital’s Rick (Chris Robinson) went to medical school with a young Monica. Rick and Monica were in love and planned to be married. However, Rick went on a mission to Africa and was presumed dead after a plane crash. However, before the crash, Rick had sent Monica (Leslie Charleston) a letter breaking their engagement. A distraught Monica found comfort in the arms of Jeff Webber (Richard Dean Anderson) and eventually married him.

Unfortunately, when Rick came back ten months later, Monica was married to his half brother who refused to grant her a divorce so she and Rick could be married. Rick and Monica eventually slept together after he became engaged to Leslie. (Denise Alexander) Rick decided to marry Leslie instead of Monica when her daughter was involved in an accident. However, Monica later announced that she was pregnant with Rick’s child.

GH Spoilers – Rick Webber’s Child Wasn’t His

General Hospital’s Rick and Leslie divorced so he could raise his child with Monica, however, it was revealed that the child was not his. Rick and Leslie then reunited and adopted two children. Later a woman came to town claiming to be one child’s mother. Leslie was presumed dead around this time. Rick then married Ginny Blake (Judith Chapman) and had a son which they named after him. Rick and Ginny left town with their family. Leslie was revealed alive and held by Stefan Cassadine (Stephen Nichols) invalidating Rick and Ginny’s marriage.

General Hospital Spoilers – Rick Webber’s Untimely Death

General Hospital’s Rick prepared to walk Laura down the aisle but was afraid she would remember an incident of a death that she had blocked out. Rick had given Laura medication to block her memory but she started having flashes anyway. Unfortunately, Rick tried to give Laura another shot of the medication she had previously received. Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) thought Rick was attacking Laura and killed him with a blow to the head. Racked with guilt, Laura fell into a catatonic state for several years.

Several years later it was revealed that Rick and Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) had made peace in the afterlife and returned to broker a truce between Monica Quartermaine and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot). A similar situation occurred during the hospital scavenger hunt with Monica and Leslie as they agreed to let bygones be bygones.
