The Bold & the Beautiful spoilers and recap for Friday, December 18, 2020, begins in Los Angeles at the cabin where Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) prepares dinner for Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). Her head is still spinning with the crazy events of the night. What else could go wrong? Hope wonders if Liam wants to talk about it and decompress. Liam can’t relax for thinking of the secret he’s keeping from Hope.

Hope believes they did the right thing by not telling Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) about his father being in the hospital. The boy is still scarred from losing his mother. She’s grateful Thomas is out of the woods. Liam says they’ll tell Douglas the right way.

Hope says he always does things the right way. He supported her while she helped Thomas. She was terrified at the thought of Thomas dying, but Liam stood by her. Liam showed up for her and Steffy. She says people respect him because Liam is a man of integrity. Liam is wracked with guilt as Hope heaps on her love and gratitude.

Liam says he doesn’t deserve Hope’s praise. She’s grateful that he’s such a wonderful guy and they straightened out the misunderstanding with Thomas and the mannequin. She says she would never betray him or turn to Thomas. Liam is her one and only. Their little family is everything she’s ever wanted. She knows he’ll always be loyal to her and their marriage.

Finn Finnegan (Tanner Dovlan) tries to convince a stressed-out Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) to take a break and have some fun. He assures her that Kelly Spencer will be fine without her. Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is recovering well. Finn wonders what else is bothering her.

Finn commends Steffy for not cracking under the pressure. Even Liam was the ideal husband sticking by Hope. Steffy feels uncomfortable with his praise. She says she doesn’t always deal with situations in the best way.

Steffy clams up when Finn pressures her to talk about her feelings. When he brings up the kiss, she freaks, thinking he’s figured out about her and Liam. He wants to know what she thought of Thomas kissing the mannequin. Steffy says it was disturbing, but Finn helped Thomas through it. Her family appreciates him more than he’ll ever know.

Finn was shocked to learn that Liam thought Thomas was kissing Hope. Steffy says Liam realizes it was a huge misunderstanding. Finn is surprised Liam didn’t lash out when he thought his wife cheated on him with his worst enemy. Finn hasn’t forgotten how Liam overreacted when Finn started dating Steffy. Finn is relieved there’s no fallout from the mistaken kiss.

Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) return from visiting Thomas in the hospital. A worried Ridge wants to go back and stay with him, but she says he’s receiving excellent care. Ridge needs a shower, food, and rest. Brooke wants to help him take care of himself and relax.

Ridge can’t shake the awful feeling that he almost lost his son. Losing Phoebe was hard enough. Ridge cries over the memory. It would be cruel for Douglas to lose another parent. Brooke says they owe Finn a debt of gratitude for noticing that something was wrong with Thomas. Finn has been good for the family, especially Steffy. Ridge believes that Thomas will be better than ever now. Ridge won’t pressure him.

Brooke says she should have been with Ridge while Thomas was in crisis. He says she was in the right place, taking care of the children. He worries that Thomas won’t be the same person after he comes home.
