British royal family news reveals that Prince Andrew, Duke of York’s military roles have been a source of pride to him. He was at one time a famed helicopter pilot and his heroics in the Falklands conflict were lauded. Oh, have the mighty have fallen.
Now his name is mentioned not in regard to heroics but to humiliation. Specifically, he is wanted for questioning by the FBI over his involvement with dead, convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein whose “pimp” sits in jail while the world watches to see if she reveals her little black book.
There Was A Time When Prince Andrew Was Held In Esteem
But now there is talk that he is being pressured to step down as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards in 2021 and insiders think he will be long gone by the time Trooping the Colour comes along next summer. This year, the question of Prince Andrew’s presence was eliminated as Trooping the Colour was replaced by a small ceremony at Windsor Castle.
A military source spills, “Representations are going to be made to the Palace that we can’t continue with him as Colonel. We need a Colonel who can represent us in public. He is casting a shadow over the regiment and causing us embarrassment.”
A Ministry Of Defence Spokesman Has Declined To Comment
This week the Grenadiers moved forward by admitting the first woman into the regiment, but the source thinks the shady presence of Andrew is keeping others away.
It will be a very awkward conversation if the Queen tells Andrew he must step down as Colonel. He replaced Prince Philip in 2017, but, even then, many of the guardsmen were said not to have wanted him.
Prince Andrew Has Had No Choice But To Acknowledge His Difficulties
Andrew stepped back from public duties in November 2019 because, “The circumstances relating to my former association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my family’s work.”
Many organizations then dropped him or accepted his resignation, including the English National Ballet, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Outward Bound Trust.
This Year The Queen’s Birthday Celebration Will Be Missing Prince Andrew
Yesterday the date of the next Queen’s Birthday Parade was announced as June 12 and Andrew would typically be seen alongside Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince William and the Duke of Kent. But a Buckingham Palace spokesman stated, “The Duke of York’s statement from November last year still stands.”

Fergie is the only one who wants him now. Two peas in a pod.
I'm not surprised by anything, anymore. I am from Ontario, Canada and I never in my wildest dreams did I ever see socialism in Canada but we're sure seeing it now.
