British royal family news reveals the juicy gossip that it’s not just a portion of the public who have taken a disliking to Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall. Apparently one senior royal has no lost love for Prince Charles’ second wife.

According to royal watcher Penny Junor, Princess Anne, known for her “abrasive” character has let her presence be felt when she is around Camilla.

Princess Anne has a reputation for being direct and candid and Junor claims that Anne’s behavior has had Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, feeling “intimidated” for years.

Princess Anne’s Conduct Toward Camilla Has Reportedly Left Her Feeling ‘Intimidated’

In fact, Junor suggests that it was the salacious affair between Anne and the Duchess’s former husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, that is a huge source of tension. Oh my!

Junor told Channel 5, “The affair between Andrew and Anne came to nothing but I think they were hugely fond of each other. And they remain hugely fond of each other. And I think Camilla has always had a bit of a problem with that, partly because of the affair. But Princess Anne is quite a tricky character and she can be quite abrasive.”

She went on, “Over the years, Camilla has been slightly intimidated by her.”

Anne’s Relationship With Andrew Parker Bowles Led Camilla Straight To Prince Charles?

Junor continued to add insight by saying, “It was while he was having a relationship with Princess Anne, that Camilla was introduced to Prince Charles and had a little fling with him. I guess there was an element of tit-for-tat in Camilla’s relationship with Charles.”

“There was the man she loved having a fling with Princess Anne. What’s sauce for the goose, sauce for the gander.”

As the world now knows, Charles and Camilla broke up their first fling and she married Andrew Parker Bowles in 1973. But the two remained in touch and Camilla went to Charles’ wedding to Princess Diana in July 1981.

Camilla And Charles Have Had Their Fair Share Of Controversy

Their close relationship reportedly came between Charles and Diana, as they resumed their relationship while married to others.

Charles and Camilla made their public debut as a couple at the birthday celebration for her sister, and the pair were later granted permission to marry in a civil ceremony (the queen did not attend). The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in April.
