Adam was planning to eliminate much of his entire family by having a device planted inside Newman Towers. His last-minute abandonment of that plan doesn’t lessen the chill his effort caused. The resulting involuntary psychiatric admission was fully justified. And his choice to walk out seventy-two hours later confirmed that his free will rules the day.

But Grossman’s alter ego also had Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) kidnapped because she saw the schematics he was using. She received a blow to head and was also drugged. Chelsea has since been diagnosed with an aneurism, which leads to a medical crisis.

Let’s start with Devon. What he did to his cousin was wrong and using the Nelena reveal as a cover excuse for those actions would be the same. James’ character is often portrayed as the good guy, so he’s in unusual territory with this nomination. But Devon is currently helping Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to connect with her mother.

Elena has no further excuses for Devon, who she still loves. Nate is done apologizing and wants to pursue a life with Elena. She shouldn’t allow herself to get carried away with Nate, who has already suffered greater consequences then the other parts of this trio.
