British royal family news divulges that allegedly real reason Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle quit social media isn’t the “hate” they claim to be subject to, but a calculated move to protect their wealth and assets. A royal expert stated that their “sacrifice” had nothing to do with safety and everything to do with greed.
Last week the Duke and Duchess of Sussex let it be known that they will not use social platforms. Never. Ever. Again.
Curiously they also chose to drop their bomb on Kate Middleton’s birthday, overshadowing her big day in a repeat performance of last year’s rudeness when they dropped Megxit on her birthday, stealing her thunder, leading some to speculate they don’t like her very much.
Royal Family News: The Markle’s Are Motivated By Greed?
Apparently the two UK refugees will not lower themselves to use socials even to promote their own Archewell Foundation site.
Meghan was once a voracious social beast, even maintaining her own blog The Tig. But that was before she met Harry and became a beacon of global hope for a better future (according to her).
The couple have also described online culture as “toxic” and Meghan likened social media users to drug addicts.
Royal editor Russell Myers today said on Lorraine that their decision has, “to do with money.”

He said their, “big money deals,” including Spotify and Netflix, intrude on them giving content away, “for free.”
“They have spoken about the ills of social media and how they feel it is toxic, but reading between the lines, I think we will see a lot of them on Netflix and Spotify.”
In a final post to their Sussex Royal account in March 2020, the couple wrote, “As we can all feel, the world at this moment seems extraordinarily fragile.”
‘Yet we are confident that every human being has the potential and opportunity to make a difference—as seen now across the globe, in our families, our communities and those on the front line—together we can lift each other up to realise the fullness of that promise.”
Royal Family News: Is Social Media Toxic?
In October Meghan said social media users are like, “people who are addicted to drugs,” during a virtual summit appearance for Fortune.
“There are very few things in this world where you call the person who’s engaging with it “a user.” People who are addicted to drugs are called users and people who are on social media are called users,” she pronounced.
But she also likes to boast that, “I’m told that in 2019 I was the most trolled person in the entire world, male or female.”
