DOOL spoilers reveal that Eli and Lani already lost one child. Throughout Lani’s entire pregnancy, she feared her twins would die when they were born just like David Ridgeway did. So, it was a relief and joyful moment when the couple welcomed a boy and a girl. Both newborns were healthy and Lani thought everything was going to be okay. When the infants were not in the hospital nursery, Lani instantly knew something terrible had happened. Eli tried to be the calm one, but he soon realized that Lani was right.

The kidnapping investigation started out with Dr. Amanda Raynor (Victoria Platt) taking the babies. She handed them off to Ivan Marais, who will then deliver them to Vivian. Many fans predicted Vivian still wanted Lani to pay for killing Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash). However, revenge has nothing to do with it.

Vivian ended up pregnant with Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) twins. She delivered both of them alive, but Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) wasn’t expected to survive. He was never mentioned to Vivian, so she never had a clue that Jake even existed until last year. As for Stefan, he was accidentally killed by Lani. It was an agonizing moment for Vivian and for a while, she wanted Lani to pay with her life.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Eli and Lani will start to get more leads in the kidnapping case. They track down Dr. Raynor and try to get her to tell them where the babies are. It sounds like she finally gives in when an emotional Lani begs her for information. Next, they grab Ivan and bring him in for questioning. Surprisingly, he actually has something to say about the kidnapped babies.

In the new issue of Soap Opera Digest, head writer Ron Carlivati talked about the storyline. He confirmed that Vivian gets the “Elani” twins and it’s so she can have the mothering experience that was taken from her all those years ago.
