Hallmark Channel news reveals that Chris McNally (When Calls the Heart) and Jen Lilley (Days of Our Lives) star in “Snowkissed.” Ahead of the movie premiere, the actors talked about filming the movie. McNalley discussed the magical scenery and Lilley explains why she had to soundproof her hotel room.
When Calls The Hear – Chris McNally’s New Movie
Hallmark Channel news reveals that fans likely recognize both Lilley and McNally. They have both worked with the network on various projects. Lilley has been in several Christmas movies and McNally stars in When Calls the Heart.
In “Snowkissed,” McNally plays Noah. He loves the outdoors and craves adventure. The character has a B&B, but really wants to be a tour guide. Unfortunately, he isn’t that good at public speaking or even giving tours, both necessary skills. Then comes Kate (Lilley), who never leaves Manhattan, not even to go to Queens or Brooklyn. The only reason Kate is in Canada is to interview with the author of her favorite self-help book. Noah and Kate get off to a rocky start, but eventually she helps him improve the skills required to be a tour guide.
Hallmark Channel News – Jen Lilley In ‘Snowkissed’
In “Snowkissed,” Kate is a tough pill to swallow and thinks she knows it all, Lilley explained to AfterBuzz TV. Even though she is helping Noah out, he doesn’t take it very well. This is due to Kate overstepping and always putting her foot in her mouth. The actress teases that Noah and Kate’s chemistry in ‘Snowkissed” will remind viewers of Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) and Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston) of “Friends.”
Hallmark Channel News – ‘Snowkissed’ Star Soundproofed Hotel Room
Hallmark Channel news reveals that Lilley shared an amusing fact from filming the movie. She ended up having to soundproof her hotel room! And no, it’s not why you think! The reason was due to her doing ADR (additional dialogue replacement). For those that don’t know, ADR is re-recording audio after it’s already been filmed. This happens when the characters’ speaking can’t be heard or understood like it should. If a plane flies overhead during filming or a car backfires, those will affect the sound quality for viewers. Instead of re-shooting the entire scene with all the actors, the characters affected can do ADR.
“Putting it together [soundproofing the hotel room] I was sweating. I hate working out. So does my character which is another thing that is funny in this movie. But it was an adventure in my own room. I was literally moving things around as if my children’s lives depended on it because I did not want to be the reason that this movie has any issues. The ADR was really amazing. It turned out very well in my hotel bathroom while quarantining. Thanks for asking.”
Hallmark Channel News – Magical Experience
As for McNally’s magical experience, it had to do with the scenery while on location in Banff and other areas in Canada. He said, “It was a beautiful night and we couldn’t see the Northern Lights but there were gorgeous stars and it’s nice to be outside of the city at night. It was pretty magical.”
“Snowkissed” premieres on the Hallmark Channel on Saturday, January 30, 2021.
