Royal Family News: Meghan Markle Was ‘Humiliated’ After Dad’s Heart Attack Kept Him From Her Wedding

British royal family news reveals that Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex’s sister Samantha Markle has a sizzling new book out and it doesn’t hold back on her opinions of the entitled American. In “The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister: A Memoir, Part One,” she roasts her sister for not postponing her wedding to Prince Harry so that their ailing father Thomas Markle could attend.

Before the wedding, he reportedly had a heart attack and was ordered not to fly. He could not travel to London from his home in Mexico and the opulent affair went on without him. Prince Charles took his place and walked Meghan down at the May 2018 affair held at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The wedding took months to plan, as most weddings do, and it had in place a large security operation. Meghan invited hundreds of guests, some of whom had no clue as to why they were invited.

For instance A-listers, George and Amal Clooney reportedly told a fellow guest that they didn’t even know Meghan! Plus, 3,000 members of the public were invited to attend the lavish celebration.

Nonetheless, Samantha thinks that the Royal Family should have put the event on ice after Thomas fell ill. She wrote, “The Royals couldn’t postpone the wedding so that my father could be included, and I knew it was not unreasonable that they reschedule, given resources available to make that happen.”

Royal Family News: Should A Wedding Have Been Cancelled?

And yet despite the fact that her father was sick, her biographers Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand wrote in Finding Freedom that poor Meghan was “humiliated” over the situation.

Part of that was because her father actually made public comments about the situation, but Thee Duchess was said to be magnanimously, “willing to move on.”

A Meghan insider told Scobie and Durand, “As much as she was hurt and humiliated, she wanted him to be there and was willing to move on. Plus, she was worried about him; she honestly wasn’t sure if he was actually okay. His behavior was bizarre.”

Days before the wedding, Thomas Markle gave an interview to TMZ which apparently is a major sin for Meghan’s book.

The royal’s sister has also claimed Meghan is, “not the same,” person she once was and was “mean” on the phone to her father as soon as Prince Harry left the room.
