One thing that’s on everyone’s mind following the announcement of Kim Kardashian officially applying for divorce is how Kim is planning to move on from the divorce.

Kim Kardashian has split from husband Kanye West but she doesn’t have dating on her mind. She’s currently concentrating on her kids and spending time with her friends.

The Relationship Timeline

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian met in 2003 and became public about their relationship in 2012. According to Kanye West, he immediately fell in love with her, but at the time Kim was still married to Damon Thomas.

The two would reunite years later in 2008, when Kanye insisted that she was cast in his puppet comedy show titled Alligator Boots. But Director Tom Stern had written the part of Princess Leia for another actress, but Kanye was adamant on having Kim Kardashian for the part. Though the show never took off, the rapper did end up getting his way with Kim playing the part of Princess Leia.

In 2009, Kanye was rumored to have referred to Kim for the first time in his music in a verse on Keri Hilson’s single Knock You Down. Some of the lyrics were said to be about Kim, who was dating NFL star Reggie Bush at the time.

“You were always the cheerleader of my dreams / Seem to only date the head of football teams / And I was the class clown that always kept you laughing / We were never meant to be, baby we just happened,” Kanye sang, also adding, “You should leave your boyfriend now.”

TMZ remarked that the verse was likely about Kim, who was Kanye’s friend when the song was released.

In 2010, Kanye made his first appearance on the Keeping Up With The Kardashians spin-off, when he met Kim and her sister Kourtney Kardashian at their boutique in New York. At the time, Kim was dating NBA player Kris Humphries.

In 2011, Kanye tried to get Kim not to marry Humphries over the phone, also going as far as to showing her pictures of basketball players that haven’t aged well. His efforts did not persuade her, and she remained married to Humphries for 72 days.

In April 2012, Kanye admitted he loved Kim in a rap verse, taking a jab at Humphries at the same time.

From then on, Kanye and Kim were seen together in public on different occasions, with Kanye attending several of Kardashian’s family events. In August 2012, Kanye took over Kim’s closet on KUWTK, which didn’t sit well with fans, with Kim later admitting that she cried when Kanye’s stylist insisted on tossing a pair of shoes that she loved.

In December 2012 they confirmed their first baby together, and from then on their relationship has been going strong, with bumps along the way.

Kim Kardashian Adjusting To Single Life

According to an insider speaking to HollywoodLife exclusively, “Kim is still adjusting to the idea of being single, dating is still far off, nowhere near ready. Right now, it’s all about her kids, just making sure they are doing good and adjusting well to the new normal.” The insider explained that Kim’s friends have stepped up and are encouraging her to take a little more time for herself.

The speaker also said that Kim had already split from Kanye and has been on her own for a while before the divorce, so being single was the new normal for her and there wasn’t much adjustment to be done.

Though Kim would rather spend time with her kids, it is believed that she would add having fun with friends.
