The Young And The Restless: Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) The Young and the Restless spoilers document that in Genoa City, Wisconsin Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) knows that Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) smile is fake. She’s sported that false front in attempts to allay Adam’s fears.

But the audience knows that Grossman’s character is guilty because he wronged Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). However, he doesn’t know that she’s seen the photo of Shadam kissing at Society. As importantly, Adam isn’t aware of Chelsea’s increasing mobility.

Chloe gave lip service to her long-standing feelings about Adam. She brushed off her ability to be in the same room as him based on the seriousness of Chelsea’s health status.

But Chloe’s forced smile undercuts her credibility. She knows that Adam doesn’t trust her, but is risking whatever personal consequences that could result in order to help her best friend.

Increasing visits would be plausible. But, as the Sharon text scene shows, advancing this storyline seems likely to come in stops and starts. Adam is circling Chelsea in order to keep his eyes on her and on the mother of the late Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono).

Y&R Spoilers – Chelsea Lawson Gaining Strength

Egan continues to deliver memorable performances from the leather wheelchair that serves as her center star on the stage. The actor’s efforts rank with the best of her run on Y&R because she’s connecting with fellow actors and the audience through very limited movement and without speaking aloud.

One would think that a person who’s been immobilized for a number of months would suffer from atrophy. Sure enough, Chelsea wasn’t able to pull herself up before Adam arrived at the penthouse. That bit of realism adds extra flair to the engaging scenes Egan appears in.

Most importantly, the strength of Chelsea’s mind is unquestioned. With Chloe as a needed ally, she should be able to keep tabs on Adam and potentially to apply consequences to him.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Storyline Climax Approaching

The more freedom of movement Chelsea wills herself into having the greater the chances that she escapes the penthouse or is discovered by Adam. The audience believes that Adam doesn’t know Chelsea has been recovering.

One twist would be to have him observe Chelsea’s progress without her knowledge. Another would be for Chelsea to bait Adam in a scenario where he reveals what happened with Sharon at Society.
