Blue Bloods spoilers tease that fans of Blue Bloods are worried because the title for episode fifteen, the several episodes away, is called “The End”! Is Blue Bloods cancelled? They were worried that it was a series finale – we can assure you it is likely not. CBS has not made any decisions on the show’s renewal and probably won’t until late spring or early summer. They didn’t even make a decision on season eleven, the current season until May of 2020!
Blue Bloods Rumors & Spoilers – Executive Producer Siobhan Byrne O’ Connor Revealed The Title And Fans Panicked
Siobhan Byrne O’Connor revealed the title for the fifteenth episode of season eleven simply as “The End”. Some fans panicked and took to the Internet wanting to know what was going on! They filled the comments section of O’Connor’s post with questions of whether it was the series finale or the season ender.
It is completely understandable that fans might be confused by the title of the episode, considering that Blue Bloods, as well as the other primetime shows on the air this year have shortened seasons compared to previous seasons that were already shortened due to primetime sports coverage or holiday programming.
Primetime viewers who are old enough to remember when the primetime season went from fall through spring with mostly continuous program don’t like seasons that skip around and whose time slots are frequently filled with reruns during the sports season when a game is cancelled, instead of picking up with the next new episode! As far as O’Connor, she finally tweeted back, telling fans to rest assured this was only a title for the episode, not an ending for the show, and finally deleted the tweet completely. Considering the firestorm that the title brought, by the time episode fifteen airs, CBS may even change the title! By the way, we’re only to episode nine, “For Whom The Bell Tolls”. It doesn’t toll for the series itself!
Blue Bloods Spoilers – For Whom The Bell Tolls
No one can exactly blame Blue Bloods fans for being worried. The death of Linda Reagan (Amy Carlson) happened in between seasons off screen. She was a legacy character, having been on from the premiere of the show in 2010 to mysteriously being killed off in 2017. Amy later claimed that she was fired, and the showrunners claimed she quit before she could either be replaced or an end scene could be filmed. All this came several months after the fact!
This television season has been a little strange due to the filming shutdowns in 2020, so there are shortened seasons, and for CBS’ part, they have tried to stretch their shows out a little bit by showing repeats where there was nothing else to fill the slots with. The CBS episodes of not only Blue Bloods but the show preceding it were pre-empted this past Friday with an interview by Oprah Winfrey with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, followed with the pilot episode of “Clarice” which of course is a new show, and heavily promoted.

When Does Blue Bloods Return?
Blue Bloods fans again are crying “foul!” Blue Bloods will return Friday, March 26. So what happens in “For Whom The Bell Tolls?” According to the preview, Detective Maria Baez (Marissa Ramirez) finds a dead body in her front yard. She is concerned that she could be blamed for the murder, and asks her partner Detective Danny Reagan (Donnie Wahlberg) to help prove her innocence. Danny’s sister, Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan (Bridget Moynahan) receives some harsh words from her father and boss Commissioner Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), who asks his entire team to get psychological counseling after Lieutenant Sidney Gormley (Robert Clohessy) exhibits some strange behavior.
Fans will recall Gormley has been through some trauma in the past, including being beaten up by a gang in his own front yard! Sargent Jamie Reagan (Will Estes) and his bride/partner Officer Eddie Janko-Reagan (Vanessa Ray) also get into an argument when a young police officer receives punishment. Fans may get a goodie in the episode when it looks like Danny and Maria might get a little closer, although Maria portrayer Marissa Ramirez can’t predict what the writers have ahead in their future. For now, she is extended family!
