Think you know what this third movie is all about? According to the synopsis, Escaping the Palace will tell us, “what really happened inside the palace that drove Harry and Meghan to leave everything behind in order to make a future for themselves and their son Archie.”
Allegedly it will also address Meghan’s self-reported isolation and sadness, their dismay that the royal machine was not defending them properly against media intrusion and Harry’s anxiety that history would repeat itself. The latter tidbit is something he has mentioned many times, and it is a reference to his late mother Princess Diana’s death.

Lifetime announced it was developing a third film a year ago at which time they announced it would highlight the thirsty pair’s Megxit bombshell or in their words the decision to step back as senior working members of the royal family. To date Meghan and Harry have given lifetime enough fodder for 34 movies, and counting. They recently had a bombshell laden tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey that aired on March 7 and it’s thought that Lifetime will include that epic tv event in the upcoming Escaping the Palace.
The third film in the Heghan franchise follows 2018’s Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance, the show that detailed the fairytale life of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The second film was 2019’s Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal, which focused on their tumultuous first year of marriage. Parisa Fitz-Henley and Murray Fraser played the couple in the first movie, and Tiffany Smith and Charlie Field were the loved-up couple in the follow-up.
