‘Home & Family’, an Emmy-nominated daytime series at Hallmark Channel, is signing off with its ninth and last season in August.
The show first paused production in March 2020 during its eighth season due to COVID-19 protocols. It then returned with its Season 9 airing its first episode on September 14. When COVID-19 cases spiked in December, it halted production again on December 21. Its newest episodes stopped airing in the first week of January.
After a COVID-19 production hiatus, the show is set to resume filming on Monday, March 29, with what we have learned as its final batch of episodes as confirmed by a spokesperson for the network.
“We want to thank the heart and soul of the show, our incredibly talented cast and crew — led by co-hosts Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison — for their creativity, hard work and dedication,” the spokesperson added.
The spokesperson also promised fans to look forward to more of the “topical segments they know and love” in the last episodes.
The daytime show will slow first before it stops with its topical segments hosted by Debbie Matenopoulos and Cameron Mathison to return on Monday, April 5, following a brand new one-hour, thrice-a-week format. The show’s last episode airs Wednesday, August 4.
Nearly A Decade Of Entertainment
‘Home & Family’ is formerly known as a morning talk show entitled “The Home and Family Show”. It was once hosted by Michael Burger, Chuck Woolery, and Cristina Ferrare, which aired on the Family Channel but ended after a two-year run. The daytime show rebooted and made its debut in October 2012, with its current title airing on the Hallmark Channel.
The morning show hosted by Matenopoulus and Mathison began as a two-hour daily show from Mondays to Fridays. Matenopoulus has been hosting the show since 2016, while Mathison partnered with her in 2018 during its seventh season.

During its run, the show featured countless hours of lifestyle, cooking, DIY, health, arts and crafts, entertaining and decorating segments. The show has invited numerous guests and interviewed many celebrities and experts which included Kym Douglas, a lifestyle expert, and Larissa Wohl, a pet adoption expert, to name a few.
Through the years, the series has garnered six Emmy Daytime nominations: Outstanding Hairstyling (2020), Outstanding Directing for a Multiple Camera Lifestyle/Culinary or Educational and Informational Program (2019), Outstanding Lifestyle Program (2018), Outstanding Live and Direct to Tape Sound Mixing (2016), Outstanding Directing in a Lifestyle/Culinary/Travel Program(2016), and Outstanding Hairstyling (2016).

I am so saddened to read that this show is cancelled! Debbie and Cameron are so great together along with all the segments – I looked forward to them every morning and learned so much! I hope Hallmark will reconsider.
This is typical get a wonderful clean no vulgarity no violence etc show and hallmark shuts it down shame on them this was a wonderful family show that everyone loved, what are they going to give us now junk and more junk, hallmark just lost a faithful viewer
I was looking forward to them coming back on. This is really great show with outstanding hosts and experts. I have loved watching the show and learning about different things. I don't know why they don't keep it around. While I like the Golden Girls, I don't want to watch them repeat morning and night so I have just quit watching the morning part at least until Home and Family comes back on. We all need a clean, informative show to watch since there is so much crap on tv these days and this show fit the bill perfectly.
Best show I have ever watched. Wide variety, loved the crafts, loved the way you helped animals. This is sad
This is a refreshing show amongest all the garbage that we are being fed sometimes. Every show seems to be politicized in one way or another. These H &F performers are like family. We saw Kym battle her cancer, a lovely wedding, and all the other great segments that teach us about cooking, decorating, and self-improvement tid-bits. Please reconsider this group who wishes peace, love, and security in our homes.orr
I love the show. I don't understand why in the world they would end such an incredible show. It is so refreshing to have a show that inspires you and makes you feel good rather than…wow I can't even think of another show that even comes close. It has all my favorite things, crafts, gardening, clothes, hairstyles, beauty tips, cooking, animals, family, Interior design, health tips THE BEST STUFF. What has gotten into this world…we need the good stuff not all this not all the evil, corruption, control, lies that society is throwing at us from all directions.
