Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Chanel Cut Off From Mama’s Money, Paulina’s Wild Child Scams ‘To Survive’

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that in Salem Chanel Price (Precious Way) arrived in Salem this week. She immediately plots a scam and while Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) is present, the intended target victim is Claire Brady (Isabel Durant). As we previously speculated, Chanel has been cut off financially from mama Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) money. Keep reading to find out more.

Conning Claire Brady

DOOL spoilers reveal that Chanel zooms into Salem and immediately picks out her first victim. It is none other than Claire. Even though Claire is the primary target, Tripp eventually joins the two young women for drinks. Chanel orders $500 champagne without batting an eye, then guzzled nearly the whole bottle! Then Chanel tried to run and leave her new “friends” with the bill. However, Chanel wasn’t counting on running into her mother!

It’s not the first time that Claire has been spotted by a manipulator, schemer, abuser, or con artist. She is rather naive and trusting. Since Claire was a kid, she has always believed she could never measure up to Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal). She even felt that way when Ciara was presumed dead! Add to that the time that she spent in Bayview and Claire makes the ideal victim. Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), Jan Spears (Heather Lindell), and Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) all viewed Claire as prey. Their methods and motivations were all different, but ultimately, they were all master manipulators. It’s terrible that now Claire is being targeted by yet another schemer.

DOOL Spoilers: Guzzling $500 Champagne

There were hints that Chanel grew up having the best of everything. Most young people don’t know what good champagne is. Chanel not only knew which bottles were the “good stuff,” but she could even pronounce the names of the champagne, and had no anxiety when ordering it. That was the first clue she is accustomed to a certain lifestyle. So, it’s clear even without knowing who Chanel’s mother is that she grew up around the finer things in life. So, why would she just run off and leave Claire to pay the tab? Claire might have a few wealthy relatives, but her parents certainly aren’t rich.

Chanel Price Cut Off From Mama’s Money

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that we previously speculated that Chanel likely was cut off from her mother’s money. Sure, she could get a minimum wage job, but she would need to wait two weeks for her first paycheck. But i still wouldn’t even pay for the bare essentials, much less the kind of lifestyle that Chanel is used to living. In her mind, scamming people is the only way she can “survive.”

It turns out that speculation was correct. Not only did Paulina cut off her daughter financially, but the two have a tense relationship. They are the definition of a love/hate relationship.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Paulina Price’s Tough Love

Paulina loves to share her wealth with the people she cares about. She gave Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) a blank check for the twins’ college education. She once bought Lani a real pony for her birthday. She grew up struggling but accomplished great success and wealth as an adult. So, she gave Chanel the best of everything growing up.

Unfortunately, sometimes the only way parents can steer their kids in the right direction is by using tough love. That’s what Paulina is doing by cutting Chanel and off and telling her to get a job. We don’t know the reason behind it, but Paulina must have tried everything else before cutting off the money. For her to go to that extreme indicates that Chanel must have been completely out of control. It is teased that Paulina will continue struggling over a family issue. We also know that Eli and Lani will get caught in the middle of Paulina and Chanel’s war. So, we will have to see how this situation unfolds in the next few weeks.
