Royal Family News: Piers Morgan Claims Royal Family Thanked Him For Sticking Up For Them

Piers MorganBritish royal family news reveals that fresh off of a Fox News interview with Tucker Carlson, Piers Morgan is again telling his truth, this time to Extra’s Billy Bush. The DailyMail.com editor went on the show Tuesday and dropped a bombshell of his own about the Royal Family after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle lobbed several during their salacious March 7 Oprah Winfrey interview.

According to Morgan, he was contacted by the royal family following his defense of them after the Markle’s dragged both of their families through the mud in unapologetic fashion on national tv.

Bush asked Morgan if anyone from the Royal Family had contacted him after the couple’s jaw dropping, inflammatory interview last month.

“I’ve had some messages communicated to me on behalf of several members of the Royal Family,” Morgan said.

“I’m not going to go into who it was… but gratitude that somebody was standing up,” for them he said.
On March 9 Morgan departed his role as host of the British morning show, Good Morning Britain, after being confronted by the weatherman about his comments about the interview.

Morgan said that he didn’t believe a word of Meghan’s exclamations including her claim that the Royal Family was racist.

Morgan said, “There’s been an attempt to cancel me. There’ve been many attempts like this before, and somehow I remain resolutely uncanceled.”

“In the end, I was required to apologize for disbelieving Meghan Markle, who I don’t believe – and I believe, which is ironic, that you should not believe somebody if you don’t want to,” Morgan said of his departure from his show.

Markle personally contacted the boss of the ITV network, as well as Ofcom, to complain about Morgan expressing his point of view.

“It was certainly a very interesting revelation from where I sit, because clearly she was trying to put huge pressure on my bosses to take action against me,” he said.

The network received 57,000 complaints about Morgan after he expressed his opinion, including death threats against his family.

Morgan said if given the chance he would ask Meghan to sit down for an interview so he could put some “difficult questions” to her, including, “If you hate the royal family that much, why do you keep your royal titles? Why would you do that if it’s just not to make millions and millions of dollars?”

      I don't believe Piers Morgan is racist. From the media coverage I have seen and read it looked to me that he initially liked Megan but his friendship was spurned. I don't know perhaps Megan didn't think he was good enough for her circle of friends. Whatever, it's made Piers Morgan very famous. I believe everyone has the right to their opinions as long as they keep them civil and don't make false statements about someone or a situation. I don't think Piers is any less biased than Oprah. Personally I would prefer to watch neither when it comes to a Harry and Megan interview. I would prefer to see the unbiased report of the facts so myself and the public can form our own opinions of this or indeed any situation for ourselves. The media should be there to provide information to give us the ability to decide for ourselves. I don't mind if a person has a different opinion to me but I do care if they have been mislead in forming an opinion with misinformation. Piers doesn't try to make the public follow his opinions with smoke and mirrors, he gives his opinions without filter. I appreciate his refreshing honesty but as I have said a calmer more unbiased approach is more useful when trying to make sense of things. I really wanted Megan to workout. I was initially so pleased, people who felt a lack of representation would finally have a royal person they could identify with. It's a pity Megan couldn't put service to others before herself but it's her life her choice.
