Even though the question has been asked before if Lori would return, many sources felt she would wait until her husband was released from prison. Now that they are both free, could the character of Abigail return to Hope Valley?

WCTH spoilers reveal that the news went viral that Lori and Mossimo Giannulli were involved in a college admissions scandal. The Hallmark cut ties with Lori and Abigail was given an exit on the show. Then, the couple went to prison to serve their time. Lori was released around Christmas 2020 but her husband remained behind bars until last week.

As for the character of Abigail, her mother was said to be quite ill. This allowed Abigail to leave Hope Valley to care for her. While it was an exit that could be indefinite, it also gave an open door in case of a return or recast.

WCTH Spoilers: Return Discussed Before

After Lori was released from prison, there have been several times a possible return to the Hallmark TV show has been mentioned. However, Lori has not issued any statements and has not returned to social media. It was believed that she might be waiting for her husband to be released so they could do a joint interview with the press. However, there are no known interviews scheduled. So, Lori’s future is completely unknown at this time.

Stars And Fans Want Lori Loughlin To Return

When Calls the Heart spoilers reveal that some fans want Lori to come back. However, other fans feel strongly that she should not be allowed to return. As for the stars, Erin Krakow (Elizabeth Thornton) and others have been vocal about wanting Lori back. Erin has spoken about it on Twitter and also answered questions regarding Lori with ET Canada.

“From your lips to God’s ears. I truly, truly hope so. It would make me so happy to see Abigail back in Hope Valley. And I think there are still a lot of really beautiful stories for her character to get to tell. I would welcome her back with open arms. So let’s hope.”

When creator Brian Byrd discussed it with From The Desk. While he couldn’t deny or confirm anything, he did indicate that forgiveness might be in the cards.

“Some of the fans have asked what will happen to Abigail’s character and shared their opinion that Hope Valley should be an example of forgiveness and grace. As Lori’s friend, I could not agree more.”

When Calls The Heart Spoilers – Will It Actually Happen?

Even though there are a lot of fans and stars that want Lori to come back, there are a large number that don’t think it would be right. The Hallmark Channel tries to be the network of values, so there are pretty strong opinions for both sides. No matter which decision is made regarding Lori, it would make half the viewers happy while upsetting the other half. This might be why there has been no official statement on if she’s going to come back or not. Alienating viewers is something that TV shows don’t want to do.

There is also the possibility that Lori might be done with being in the public eye. Perhaps this whole experience has led her to give up acting and focus on her family. We will just have to wait and see what happens.
