Victoria told Billy that she won’t be using Ashland’s media company to attack him, as Victor and Adam planned to do. That gives Billy a modest sense of relief, though not gaining Cyaxares means he and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) won’t be able to expand Chance Com as hoped.

Hardcore Villy fans know that Victoria wanted Billy to accept her pitch by accepting financial backing and forming a joint venture with Newman. Billy was initially okay with doing so, but Lily’s wise council caused him to change his mind.

Because she can be her father’s daughter, Billy recognizes that there’s no way to predict what Victoria will do with her newly acquired company. That is a legitimate concern.

Adam knows that his father is standing by him. Victor is deeply gratified to have finally gotten through to Adam.

The fans understand that Adam is innocent and did not try to poison Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). So, Victor isn’t purely offering paternal protection. He’s right in thinking Adam is not guilty.

The dynamic in play is allowing Victor and Adam to become a powerful and very dangerous tandem. All the Newman’s and others in Genoa City, Wisconsin, will be impacted as long as this father-son renewal holds.
