Days of Our Lives spoilers tease that there could be more than meets the eye to the relationship between Haley Chen (Thia Megia) and Melinda Trask (Laura Kai Chen). Is it possible Haley could be Melinda’s daughter instead of her sister?

If so, that could be even more of a scandal for Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) to dig up on Melinda. As if Haley being her little sister (as far as we know) and an undocumented immigrant wasn’t enough.

When Haley told her story of how she came to America looking for Melinda when their parents died, her parents could have been her grandparents and Melinda’s parents. Melinda wanted a career in the United States, and probably didn’t have the time or desire for a child, and left baby Haley with her parents. It’s still unknown why the two have two different last names, although Melinda could have had a divorce in her past that wasn’t written into the script. Or, Haley could have the birth father’s last name.

Days Of Our Lives – Was Haley Conceived In Difficult Circumstances?

Melinda may have even conceived Haley in very difficult circumstances, and instead of a teenage romance, it could have been rape. That might drive a young woman to become a District Attorney who could put those type offenders off the street.

It could also have caused Melinda to have a dysfunctional relationship with Haley in which she doesn’t want to help her any more than necessary. Plus, she’d have been telling the truth when she denied having a sister named Haley. Days of Our Lives writers could have been giving viewers a huge clue that she’s really her daughter.

      Could be. I hope Haley is actually Melindas daughter, then Haley could be in the US legally.
