Sarah Drew And Jesse Williams Reunite As April And Jackson On The Set Of Grey’s Anatomy

Sarah Drew and Jesse Williams together again!  After years apart, Japril fans get to see these two stars together in the upcoming episodes of Grey’s anatomy. The network teased the reunion with a couple of still pictures from moments that the two shared in the series on Tuesday, April 20.

While fans won’t be able to see the former couple’s reaction to each other until Thursday, May 6, the photos still give a little bit away by capturing their emotional moments.

The pictures showing the emotional get-together of the former couple over dinner came two months after Williams, who portrays Jackson in Grey’s, said that he is rooting for a reunion between his character and Sarah Drew’s character, April. Wish granted, or not?

Grey’s Anatomy – Did ABC Tease That Japril Is Back On Or Will It Be Just A Friendly Reunion?

Fans of the show have long been rooting for April and Jackson to reunite with each other, because according to one fan, “it’s a true love story,” even though April exited the show after getting married to Matthew, played by Justin Bruening, and quit her job at Grey Sloan Memorial.

On April 20th, ABC teased a bunch of pictures showing the former flames together, and though there’s clearly a burst of excitement and tension between the two, would fan be jumping way too fast in assuming that they’d get back together?

Drew, 40, departed from the show in 2018 after playing the character April in Grey’s for 9 seasons, and prior to leaving the show, she and Williams’ character fell in love, got married, had a daughter, divorced, before she married Matthew, and well, the rest is history. Even then, fans of the show have expected and anticipated a reunion that will bring sparks flying again.

In a February interview with Entertainment Tonight, Williams admitted that along with the fans, he too is rooting for the love story between his character Jackson and April to continue.

“[Jackson and April] are incredible together. I am a fan [of Sarah’s] and she is absolutely one of the most special people I’ve worked with,” Williams said, adding that he’d “love any opportunity for us to continue that story… [Jackson and April] have an ability to communicate and be vulnerable with each other and push each other.”

When the network announced that April would join a list of old characters set to make an appearance on the show, fans went wild. The reunion could mean something more for April and Jackson, and fans could get to learn what April’s life had been like in those three years since she quit her job in the hospital to do “God’s work”.

“And. Not excited at all,” the actress shared alongside a couple of flaming heart emojis and smiling faces. She also posted a picture with her and her co-star, Williams, on set.

As for Williams, he celebrated the reunion by sharing a video of the two on-screen ex-couple on set, with a simple present emoji as a caption.

“It’s 4 am. Do you know where your #japril is? #onset @ijessewilliams,” she wrote along with a picture of the two snuggling up during an early morning shoot two days later.
