Two years after leaving DOOL, Burnett would end up on another soap. In 2018, she appeared in General Hospital as Maxie Jones. It was just a temporary recast until Kirsten Storms was able to resume playing the role.

The actress said that she would definitely consider returning to both DOOL and GH. However, due to her commitment to Queen Of The South, a full-time return probably wouldn’t be possible. However, appearing in Salem or Port Charles for a guest stint is definitely something that could happen.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Possible Story Arcs

It would be interesting to see Melanie Jonas back in Salem. Perhaps Melanie could return for the anniversary of her father’s death. We have seen plenty of dialogue in the past about how Daniel’s heartbreaking death affected Nicole Walker Brady (Arianne Zucker). It would be nice to get a story about how Melanie is honoring Daniel after his death. How the unexpected tragedy changed her.

As Nicole’s daughter grows up, she will likely have questions about Daniel. Plus, it would be touching to see the child develop a bond and a relationship with Melanie. Due to Nicole feeling alone since Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) basically abandoned his new wife, we imagine Nicole is thinking a lot about her various relationships. Would you like to see Melanie Jonas come back and if so, should Daniel Jonas be mentioned?
