Angelina Jolie Praises Firefighters, Dishes New Movie

Angelina Jolie recently made a return to the movie screen in her new movie, Those Who Wish Me Dead. In the movie, Jolie plays the role of a professional smoke jumper who saves a young boy from the bullets of assassins that are hell-bent on killing him in the middle of a wild, raging, forest fire.

The smokejumper role made the star actress appreciate the efforts of firefighters in saving lives and property despite the risky nature of their job.

So when the director of the new film, Taylor Sheridan, approached her about the project, she jumped at it. Her long time absence from the acting scene hasn’t affected her skills, as Angelina Jolie plays out her smokejumper character with professional finesse and athleticism.

Julie now has huge respect for firefighters because of the character she played in Those Who Wish Me Dead. In an interview with Fox News, the actress revealed that learning the basic roles and the risks involved as a firefighter, a smokejumper, and the skills needed to survive dangerous scenarios, has inspired her a lot.

According to her, trying to portray all the hazards professional firefighting personnel go through daily in the film was a hard thing to do, which has made her respect the huge responsibility they carry on their shoulders.

Angelina Jolie says her little experience as a film director helped her to act out the role following the wishes of the film director, Taylor. This enabled her to understand the filming angles he was coming from with ease, which helped in smooth filming most times.
