There’s no denying that there’s no love lost between Thomas and Liam. The two men have been at odds due to their love for Hope Logan (Annika Noelle). Thomas did some horrible stuff in the past because of his obsession with Hope.

The past few weeks have hit Thomas hard as he mourned the death of his friend Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero). Although Thomas was pissed at Vinny for altering the paternity results of Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) baby, he still cared about his pal.

After Vinny’s death, Thomas was on a quest for justice. He wanted answers and wanted the person responsible to pay. Well, Thomas got his wish when Liam confessed to running over Vinny.

Although what happened to Vinny was an accident, the police don’t see it that way. They knew Liam was mad at Vinny and wished death on the lab worker. Liam had the motive to kill Vinny and with his confession, he’s facing a long prison sentence.

Discovering that Liam killed Vinny increased Thomas’ fury. While others are rallying around Liam during his time of need, Thomas is hoping Liam gets what’s coming to him. Although being in prison away from his family is punishment enough, Thomas feels he needs to up the ante in Liam’s suffering.

The ultimate revenge against Liam would be stealing Hope away from him. Although Thomas claimed he wanted Hope to be happy with Liam, his stance has changed given the recent circumstances.

Thomas knows Liam isn’t the saint everyone makes him out to be. Throughout the years, Liam has hurt Hope and Steffy in his actions. Now, Liam has done something unforgivable. He committed murder and kept quiet about it. Because of Liam, Thomas lost his friend and a family is grieving the loss of a loved one.

Since others are suffering because of Liam, a taste of his own medicine. To get payback on Liam, Thomas will go after Hope.

Feeling that he can trust Thomas, Liam asks him to look after Hope and the kids. Thomas will jump at the chance. He knows Hope’s going through a difficult time, and he’s going to be there to help her. With Hope being vulnerable, Thomas is going to prey on her emotions. He’ll get her thinking about Liam being locked up forever, and her wasting her life waiting for him.

Thomas will convince Hope she can’t put her life on hold for Liam. She needs to move on and be happy. And if everything goes according to plan, she could be moving forward to a life with Thomas.
