It is true that Adam has done a lot to Chelsea, as well as other people in Genoa City. However, he is doing his best to turn over a new leaf. He wants to become a man that Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) can respect. That seems really important to him right now. Of course, he could always revert back to his old ways.

However, fans recall that Adam wasn’t too pleased with what Rey was doing to Chelsea. Despite him nearly losing his freedom because of her, Adam stood up for the mother of his children. He also doesn’t plan on keeping Connor away from her, which he could probably do if he wanted to. He just wants her to wait until she is better so it doesn’t scare the little boy.

Egan made that statement to Soap Opera Digest before Chelsea’s confession.

It is possible that Chelsea is beginning to feel guilty about what she has done. If that is the case, perhaps there is room for redemption. However, it might not happen for quite a while. As fans know, Egan is pregnant and will be going on maternity leave soon. So, that will give her character a rest. When she returns, she will have a lot of amends to make. Now, this doesn’t mean Adam and Chelsea will get back together. But perhaps they will be as civil as co-parents can get for the sake of their son.
