The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) provided a reveal when talking with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). His ask to the Moustache could be interpreted as more than implying that Billy is genuinely concerned about Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) treated Billy and Victoria dirty during the second chance Cyaxares sale. The Lockeness Monster played that negotiation as though it was a game, with Victoria only winning the media company on a coin flip. As viewers recall, Ashland later reneged on that deal.

The above personal matters are a concern for Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). She isn’t fully secure in her relationship with Billy and that’s not because Victoria has repeatedly injected herself into their lives.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Uses Nemesis As Measuring Stick

Victor claims that his protection of Victoria is heavily based on Billy’s disruptive influence. That’s a low blow, as Victor created chaos in Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) life for decades.

And that might be the rub. Victor recognizes an element of himself in the man he continually calls Billy-boy. But who’s acted more immaturely across many years of storylines, Victor or Billy? No one can definitively say Billy.

Victoria is Victor’s first-born child and his first daughter. She’s also the offspring he’s entrusted Newman Enterprises to. So, he’s naturally concerned with her welfare. But to tell Billy that he’s to blame for Victor’s relationship with Victoria is bunk.

There is no doubt that Billy loves his family, meaning his parents, siblings, extended genetic and marital connections, and children. Romantically speaking, Victoria still ranks as his deepest soul mate.

Heinle’s character may also retain the title as Billy’s greatest love. It’s fair to say that his pursuit of Lily and realized relationship with her happened after he forced himself to end Villy. So, the word rebound relationship is arguably applied to BiLily.

Lily’s experience with marriage ended in the recent past, as her second union to Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) ended on her wish. She couldn’t trust him anymore. So, despite their love and the children they have, Lane didn’t endure.

Choosing to be with Billy meant dealing with Victoria, who is a main character and wasn’t written out of town like Cane was. Lily knows that Billy’s multiple time wife and mother of two of his children, including being the adoptive mother of Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare), is a force.

But Lily doesn’t and can’t know what hold Victoria will always have on Billy or if he will eventually realize that Villy is a coupling he wants to revisit. And that’s the potential Y&R may be establishing if Ashland does die.
