Kate Middleton Is A Charmer

Kate and Prince William were on a royal event at Basildon Sporting Village in October 2018 when she gave one eager little fan a hug. The visit was part of the Royal Foundation’s Coach Core program and photographers caught Kate embracing young fan Janet Emery.

She later spilled a parenting tip that she uses with her three children.

Palace protocol dictates that the royals do not hug fans and members of the public, and that would be especially true today in the age of coronavirus. But back then an exuberant Kate couldn’t help hugging her precious fan.

Kate then let the assembled crowd in on a little secret. She told them that she tells her kids Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6, and Prince Louis, 3, that hugs are very special: “Hugs are very important. That’s what I tell my children.”

What other parenting gems does Kate Middleton swear by? She is a great lover of the outdoors and believes that being in nature is one of the best ways to spend quality family time together.

We know this because the Duchess wrote a letter in support of Children’s Hospice Week which said in part, “Spending quality time together is such an important aspect of family life and for me, as a mother, it is the simple family moments like playing outside together that I cherish.”

Kate Middleton Loves the Great Outdoors

Kate Middleton is also known to spend time with her kids in the kitchen, handing down her love of cooking. She was pregnant with her third child and second son Prince Louis in 2018 when she told the St. Luke’s Community Centre about her fondness for cooking with her children.

“I’ve done that with George and Charlotte – making pizza dough. They love it because they can get their hands messy,” said the proud mom.
