The Bold And The Beautiful writers have brightened those last days of summer by bringing ALL the drama! Admittedly, we first assumed that the wedding would usher in at least days of happiness for the entire cast.
But as we’ve repeatedly seen on The Bold And The Beautiful, the complicated history of the Forrester family ensures that something will always go wrong!
And with the return of Sheila, that “something” means trouble for both Finn and Steffy. Exactly why does Steffy INSIST that Finn avoid the woman revealed to be his birth mother?
Are her reasons selfish.. or selfless? Find out the theories below!
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – What Does Steffy Forrester Want From Sheila Carter? Banishment!
The Bold And The Beautiful scene in the Forrester mansion featuring Sheila’s revelations offered a chance to see how each character reacted.
And when Sheila oh so sweetly declared, “I’m your mother in law, Steffy. We’re family now,” Steffy’s expression showed her horror.
But Steffy’s emotions soared when Sheila uttered the name of Steffy’s and Finn’s baby boy, Hayes. Viewers saw Steffy attempting to set the rules for Sheila. First, Finn’s wife wants his birth other to never even mention Hayes’ name. And second, Steffy insists that Sheila will never have the chance to see the baby.
Those stipulations leave Finn in a dilemma.
B&B Spoilers – How Does John Finn Finnegan REALLY Feel About Sheila Carter?
From Finn’s perspective, Sheila’s introduction of herself as his birth mother seems like reason for joy.
We hear Finn make it clear that although he longed to learn about his birth mother, no one told him about Sheila.
And when Finn learns that Sheila made threats to Thomas and attempted to kill Steffy’s grandmother, he feels understandably shocked.
But that initial shock only marks the beginning of accusations against his birth mother. As Finn tries to find a way to defend Sheila, Steffy seeks to warn her husband.
Steffy’s revelations that Finn’s birth mother attempted to kill Steffy’s mother then puts Finn between a rock and a hard place.
He wants to fulfill his dreams of getting to know his birth mother. But Steffy has shown that she views her lack of family as Sheila’s fault.
The Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Steffy Forrester Slapping Sheila Carter Shows True Feelings
Ultimately, Sheila gives Steffy and the rest of the Forrester fan even more reasons to distrust her.
As a result, Steffy makes her views clear: She feels Sheila doesn’t really love Finn.
Instead, Sheila just wants to create problems for the Forrester clan.
And when Steffy’s rants vowing that Sheila won’t ruin her marriage or become part of her family cause her anger to turn into a face slap, Sheila’s reaction speaks louder than words.

Sheila’s smile makes her look like a cross between the wicked stepmother in Cinderella and the wicked witch in Wizard of Oz.
The scene also sets up the dilemma for Finn.
Steffy seems genuinely to want to encourage Finn to get to know his birth mother Sheila. But as she tells him, Sheila has caused “so much damage” to Steffy’s life that she can’t find any reasons to help Finn build a bond with his birth mom.
In contrast, Finn can’t seem to stop himself from trying to find a way to connect with his birth mother and satisfy his wife.
The Bold And The Beautiful appears to indicate that Steffy’s reasons for blocking Finn from Sheila involve protecting herself and her son Hayes.
But we think that Steffy genuinely loves Finn and fears that Sheila will end up hurting him as well as others.
