So, it is possible that no matter when or how Eric learns the truth he will be hurt, but will also accept it? It’s also possible that Quinn doesn’t tell him what happened but Eric independently decides to let her go as a selfless act of love.

This storyline just moved from an intriguing betrayal angle to one that includes deep sympathy for Eric’s situation. The guilt Quinn and Carter felt will also be compounded, especially when Quarter is in the same room with Eric at Forrester Creations.
