Coronation Street spoilers have revealed that the villainous father Stefan Brent will be playing his cards to get his evil son Corey Brent free of the murder charge in the upcoming court trial for the late Seb Franklin.
Coronation Street Spoilers – Mystery
Viewers of the ITV soap saw how the wicked gang leader Corey (Maximus Evans) framed up Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) as the murderer when the latter cooperated with the authorities.
Stefan (Paul Opacic) was the one who commanded Corey to outwit Kelly at the police station and the upcoming trial will see him paying witnesses for Corey’s freedom.
In the court trial set to air next week, the anti-hero Corey won’t be changing his scripts despite Seb’s (Harry Visinoni) mother Abi (Sally Carman) warning his father Stefan he better tells the truth.
Corey continues to deny his involvement in the hate attack and paints himself as another victim who tried to stop bloodthirsty killer Kelly from attacking Seb. According to Coronation Street Spoilers, Kelly, who obviously has the lower hand, grows resentful while listening to him taking the stand.

Coronation Street Spoilers – Alibies
Another Kelly’s concern is their friend Eli Higginson (Liam Scholes), who backs Corey’s story under the influence of Stefan’s wealth.
But Kelly’s lawyer, Imran Habeeb (Charlie de Melo) suggests Seb was the killer and that he’s lying to get a reduced sentence himself.
Actor Maximus Evans has confirmed Eli could also be a threat to Corey: “Eli was so close to that attack so Corey knows that despite being his friend he is a threat. Like with Kelly he’s a threat because they know what actually happened that night.”
Will Imran’s intense questioning lead Eli to testify against Corey?
Coronation Street Spoilers – Corey To Escape Justice With Tommy Orpington As His Character Reference
Despite lawyer Imran not going easy on Corey, the killer will have his image restored when the local football hero Tommy Orpington (Matt Milburn) gives him a flashy character reference as a good lad with a promising future before him. Did Tommy also receive money from Stefan?
However, there’s a chance that the tables will turn for Coronation Street actor Maximus has hinted that a lot of evidence comes to light that Corey wasn’t aware of.
Documented by the “Coronation Street” blog, the star revealed: “I think he [Stefan] starts to doubt him [Corey], there are a lot of loose ends that Corey hasn’t thought through…”

Coronation Street Spoilers – Doubt
With the evidence, Stefan and his lawyer Sabeen (Zora Bishop) start to doubt whether Corey is totally innocent. But this motivates Stefan to continue his bribes all the more to make sure Corey is safe.
“Obviously prison is a terrifying thought for any adult so you can only imagine how much Stefan is dreading his son ending up there,” Maximus said.
“A guilty party not being found guilty can put everyone on edge and leave people to take matters into their own hands. So I’m excited to see the outcome.” Keep checking Celebrating The Soaps for more Coronation Street spoilers, news, and updates.
