A new Signature Mystery is set to premiere on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries on Sunday, September 12. The plot involves Melanie (Rochelle Aytes), who is at the top of her career as an award-winning investigative journalist.

Melanie returns from Boston to her hometown of Cherry Springs. On arrival, her Uncle Joe (Frankie Faison) is happy to have her home and they start enjoying each other’s company. However, the disappearance of a longtime friend leads Melanie to start seeking answers.

Meanwhile, Jake Collins (Keith Robinson) is the detective working on the case. While he is happy to have Melanie’s keen insight, he can’t overlook her methods. When they decide to work together, they are able to find more answers, but they are not ready for what they find.

Rochelle Aytes is known for many popular series, including The Purge, Hawaii Five-O and S.W.A.T. She also starred in and produced The Men in My Life, a drama that revolves around her own life story.

Keith Robinson will likely be remembered for his role as C.C. White in Dreamgirls. At the Academy Awards, Robinson performed Patience, a song from the movie. This multitalented star is as comfortable acting as he is singing and enjoys finding projects where he can combine both his talents.
