McCook was first nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category in 2001. Other nominations followed in 2012 and 2018.

Devoted B&B fans know that Eric is the co-founder of Forrester Creations. He, along with his most storied wife, the late Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery), created and then developed FC into a fashion powerhouse that endures through today.

So many indelible storylines have played out through the decades. McCook was already one of daytime’s all-time greats through his efforts as the lead actor on this show. His first credit came in 1964, in the television series No Time for Sergeants. An amazing fifty-seven years later, he is arguably offering some of the strongest and most important work of his tenure.

Eric told Ridge that he and Quinn love each other. Queric is what Eric wants at this stage of his life.

The reality of loneliness is powerful. Ridge now knows why the man who is the only true father in his life made a choice that seems to be wrong.

McCook’s efforts within this storyline are standout. He deserves to be included with the group of Lead Actor nominees when next year’s Award ceremony happens. It would not be a surprise if this actor earns what would be the first statue of his career.
