Prince Philip Died In April
In the film Princess Eugenie revealed that the Duke of Edinburgh was able to meet his great-grandson, August Philip.
According to Hello Magazine, she said, “I brought little August to come and meet him. I told him that we’d named him after him. It was such a lovely moment. We were very lucky to do that.” Prince Philip passed away two months after August was born.

The documentary also has memories recalled by Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward.
According to Prince Charles his father, “adored barbequing and he turned that into an interesting art form. And if I ever tried to do it, he… I could never get the fire to light or something ghastly so [he’d say]: ‘Go away!’”

Prince William seconded his father’s opinion of Philips prowess with the briquettes. He says of Prince Philip, “Every barbecue that I’ve ever been on, the Duke of Edinburgh has been there cooking…we go on barbecues and there’s no chef, there’s no anyone else… he’s definitely a dab hand at the barbecue. I can safely say there’s never been a case of food poisoning in the family that’s attributed to the Duke of Edinburgh.”

It’s clear from his family’s reminiscences that they have tremendously fond memories of the duke who was described as the queen’s rock. Now is a time she could dearly use his strength, as their son Andrew is facing a sexual assault lawsuit. It was just revealed that she is paying millions of dollars for his legal defense, further inflaming public opinion about the matter.
