EastEnders Spoilers: Why Did Max Branning Marry His New Wife Rainie?

EastEnders spoilers tease that everyone is asking the same question: why did Max Brenning marry his new wife Rainie? As a matter of fact, all of Max’s neighbors in Albert’s Square seem to be asking the same questions as they want to know what has suddenly linked him to his former sister-in-law.

Max wanted everyone in his community – even those who can’t stand the near sight of him – to gather for his big announcement that he was marrying Tanya’s sister. Yet the moment she came in, she was forced to break up a fight between Max and a very drunk Kat Moon. To complicate matters even more, she kissed Max and cuddled up to him, leaving both Max’s brother Jack and his nemesis Ian Beale gob smacked.

It’s a sudden change to what Max’s life looked like just eight weeks ago. His life was in pieces following the death of his daughter, Albi. And now everyone wants to know what has prompted him to start this new and sudden romance and why is he trying to build the bridges he once burned down with everyone in Walford.

Actress Tanya Franks spoke about Rainie and Max’s future by telling Britain’s Metro.co.uk, “Nobody in the world wants either one of them, but both of them have to look to anew pathway. It’s a bit like a kindred spirit from opposing ends of the scale. Two people that absolutely loathe each other, but actually there’s a lot of similarity between the two for different reasons.”

She added, “I would say nobody would imagine what it’s like for Rainie and Max to be together so the only way to discover how potentially successful or disastrous this could be is just to view it and find out.”
