Y&R News – There Is A Reason To Celebrate

Edward Scott was once the executive producer for The Young And The Restless but now is a supervising producer at CBS sister soap The Bold and the Beautiful. The couple recently celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary on October 12.

In 1996 during an interview with Soap Opera Digest Melody made the following statement regarding her marriage: “It’s swallowing your pride about something if it makes your partner feel better. “It’s hard sometimes,” “but I very firmly believe that when you write down a list of priorities, your mate should be No. 1, because a family is based on the bond between the parents.”

Young And The Restless Spoilers – A Family Affair

Although the Scotts have remained together for almost 40 years they both were previously married and Edward is Melody’s third husband. The couple met on the set of The Young and the Restless, and they married in 1985. He has a daughter, Jennifer from a previous marriage, she has a daughter Alexandra from a previous marriage and together they have Elizabeth. On May 25, 2011Jennifer gave birth to twins a boy named James and a girl named Charlotte. who are Edward and Melody’s first grandchildren.

Y&R Spoilers – Nikki Newman And Victor Newman Seem To Be Settling Down

On The Young and the Restless Melody’s character and her on screen husband seem to finally be settling down after their fifth wedding. They are presently in Malan supporting daughter Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) as she prepares to marry Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). Perhaps this time around Niktor will stick it out for the long haul and this will be their final marriage. Happy 36th anniversary to Edward and Melody Scott and may they enjoy many more.
