The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jill Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton) wants Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to succeed. But his backstory impacts her ability to trust him.
Billy’s loved ones and enemies are in the same position as Jill. The erratic gambler persona Billy built in years past is not a complete reflection of who he is now and limits others’ perceptions of him.
The current fallout that resulted from Newman Media’s trap snaring Billy is forcing Jill to make challenging personal and business decisions.
Billy told Lily that he is getting back up after getting knocked down. But consequences must be handled in the meantime.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Removing Emotions From Business
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) told Billy that Jill knows how to remove emotions from business decisions. They agreed on that point during their latest verbal joust.
Billy did take himself out of the equation as the Jesse Gaines (Jamison Jones) situation played out. But Jill told him that provoking two of the world’s leading businessmen caused him to be targeted.
So, Billy took poisoned bait. He could not see clearly, even when believing that he was performing due journalistic diligence.
Y&R Spoilers – Billy Abbott New To Media World
Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) knows almost as much about running a media company as Billy. One could claim that Adam knows less.
However, Adam benefited from two distinct advantages. Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) owned Cyaxares, which he sold to Victor and remains on Newman Media’s Board of Directors.
So, tagging Billy as a neophyte is accurate. Combine that with Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) lacking an experienced media mentor, and trouble happened.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jill Abbott Atkinson Must Make Choices
Chance Comm has value. But she does not necessarily have to sell it to Newman Media or Newman Locke.
Jill is a wily veteran when it comes to business. Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) grudgingly recognized that during Y&R’s heyday.
So, Jill can choose to go against Billy’s demand and not sell to Newman Media and accept Vashland’s offer. But Chance Comm probably can not be retained, as Jill wants Lily to run Chancellor Industries.

Meanwhile, Billy will not be allowed to handle its media division by himself.
Alternatively, Jill could keep Chance Comm and hire someone new to run it. Viewers will soon know what Jill’s choice is on Y&R.
