When Calls The Heart Creator Shares Sweet Message About Lori Loughlin

When Calls the Heart spoilers and updates tease that the show’s creator and executive producer, Brian Bird, is happy to see that Lori Loughlin is back on the screen, even if it’s on a different show.

Fans know that Loughlin originated the role of Abigail Stanton on When Calls the Heart back in 2014. She was let go from the show after she got involved in the college admissions scandal.

She may not be returning to Hope Valley but the actress is reprising her role in a different series. Fans will once again see her as Abigail in the show’s spinoff titled When Hope Calls. It’s scheduled to air on GAC Family starting December 18. Viewers are excited to see Loughlin once again and When Calls The Heart boss, Brian Bird feels the same way, too.

When Calls The Heart – WCTH Showrunner’s Sweet Message

Bird, who is also the executive producer of When Calls Hope, posted a sweet message on his Facebook page regarding Loughlin’s return.

He shared a photo of Loughlin as Abigail as she walks into the Telegraph Office in Brookfield. She can be seen wearing a purple coat that looks familiar to When Calls The Heart viewers.

“Taking this photo lifted my heart in so many ways. Offering second chances in this messed up world are just a better way to live,” he said.

“Love seeing Lori Loughlin back on screen as Abigail Stanton… this time in Brookfield and #WhenHopeCalls… coming December 18, 8 pm/6 pm ET… only on GAC Family Network and Super Channel Heart & Home in Canada,” he added.

It still remains to be seen if Loughlin’s involvement with When Calls Hope will be on an ongoing basis. Fans have to wait and see whether the show will make her a series regular or if she’ll join the cast in a recurring capacity.

When Calls The Heart – Wraps Up Season 9 Production

When Calls The Heart recently wrapped up its season 9 production. Jack Wagner and co-stars Chris McNally and Kevin McGarry celebrated the milestone by posting an impromptu video of them singing on Instagram.

Season 9 comprises 12 episodes. Production started on July 21, 2021, and ended on November 9, 2021. Fans may expect the show to return sometime in February or March 2022.
