Y&R spoilers reveal that Devon developed an even deeper connection with Dominic while Abby was off searching for Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). When it was time to give Dominic back to Abby, Devon was devastated. However, Devon is aware that he is not Dominic’s father and that the boy’s parents are Chance and Abby.

In Monday’s Y&R episode, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will stop by to talk to Devon about it. During the conversation, Devon admits he misses the baby but feels it’s inappropriate to ask for more time with him. However, Nate encourages Devon to go for it because Dominick will thrive by spending more time with him.

Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) knows how much Devon is struggling without Dominic. However, she advised Devon to tread carefully with this issue. There is already a legal document in place and while there is still time to change it, Chance and Abby might not react well. Amanda suggested that Devon simply ask Chance and Abby for more one-on-one time with Dominic and to explain why.

 The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that during the week of December 27, Devon will pay Chance and Abby a visit. When he gets there, Chance can’t seem to soothe Dominic. So, Devon helps out and gets the baby to stop crying and take a bottle. That is when Abby walks in and she’s already concerned about Chance not bonding with his son.

Then, Devon tells Chance and Abby that he wants more time with the baby. Abby reminds him that he can come over anytime he wants. Devon clarifies what he is asking for – unsupervised overnight visits. Devon also wants the legal agreement revised to include this new change, as long as Chance and Abby agree.

Y&R Spoilers – ‘Chabby’ React

So, how do Chance and Abby react to Devon’s bombshell? In the weekly preview clip, Abby says that it sounds as if Devon wants shared custody. Even though this is the best way to describe Devon’s request, he’s not interested in being a legal parent to the child or taking him away from “Chabby.” Actor Bryton James explained to Soap Opera Digest,

“Devon can sense that Abby, more than Chance, is a little more on edge by what Devon is asking. So, he puts it out there and leaves not knowing what to expect. He imagines that it could’ve gone better but he’s hopeful that they’ll come around and understand where he’s coming from.”
