Young And The Restless Last Week In Review: Adam’s Miraculous Recovery – Mariah Meets Her Stalker

Last week on the Young And The Restless (Y&R), Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) not only made a miraculous recovery from a gunshot wound – he also got his memory back.

But not before his father Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) asked Dr. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) to do a series of tests on him while he was unconscious.

Fresh from the hospital, Adam arranged a meeting with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). As he was leaving the tack house, his ever-present shadow, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), was standing on his doorstep, asking where he was going and if he was OK. In a highly enjoyable moment, Adam completely snubbed her and headed out. Surprisingly, he didn’t call her Gladys Kravitz!

When he arrived at Y&R’s Dark Horse, he was met by two very wary half-siblings. Not one to let the grass grow under his feet, Adam was quick to tell Victoria and Nick that he was now Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) number one child.

“Victor doesn’t value you or your work,” Adam told Victoria specifically.

Then he proceeded to list his demands – $500 million, the whereabouts of Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Connor and the return of his son Christian. Nick told him to get lost.

Meanwhile, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) tried to hide her look of horror, as she listened to Ana Hamilton’s (Loren Lott) over-produced version of her song. Tessa’s original version was quite moving. The garbage adaptation Ana created sounded like it included way too much auto-tune and vocal layering.

So, Tessa had every right to be worried. Ana had no clue about her feelings and proceeded to dress her up in a hideous fake fur bolero with an even worse looking shirt to go with it.

When Tessa arrived at Y&R’s Crimson Lights to tell Mariah about her brutal day, her girlfriend was being confronted by her creepy stalker, Jared. After chasing him away (for now – I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him), Mariah told Tessa her career direction was up to her. With Mariah by her side, Tessa then told Ana to stuff it and to rip up her contract.
