Ashland Locke is portrayed by Richard Burgi and he debuted in March of last year. Ashland came to Genoa City, Wisconsin as a powerful businessman from New York City. Since then he has become one of GC’s sharks, married to Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) daughter Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

His initial goal was the sale of his media company, Cyaxares. All the power players put on their best suits and tried to woo the man. That included Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Victor Newman and his son Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

The entire scenario did a 180 when Victoria Newman threw her hat into the ring.

Lovely Victoria made quite an impact on Ashland. Complicating things, he was married and the paternity of his young son was called into question.

In the end it was shown that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was the boy’s biological father and al heck broke loose.

Ashland displayed a bit of the behavior that earned him the nickname Locke Ness Monster. He played he bidders against one another and then tried to back out of the deal with Victor. In Victor’s living room he suffered a heart attack and Victor made him finalize the paper work before he would call 911.

Ashland survived and began growing closer to Victoria. Then it was learned he had advanced small cell lung carcinoma. Victoria helped him seek treatment but his health continued to decline. Concerned, Victoria asked Ashland to move in and eventually she accepted his marriage proposal.

As Ashland’s health deteriorated, his ugly past surfaced. He was actually Bobby DeFranco! Ashland Locke was a friend who died in a car crash and he stole his identity to escape an abusive father.
