However, what if Ava tells Gwen something about Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk)? Perhaps Kristen never took her trunk of masks with her when fleeing Salem. It’s possible that Ava might have access to those masks.

First of all, Sarah really didn’t leave Salem with Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder). Sarah was kidnapped by Kristen and shipped off to a private island.

Even if Sarah escaped, she would go straight to the police, Xander, or Maggie Horton Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers). Sarah wouldn’t stop by to see Gwen. We also know it’s not Kristen impersonating Sarah. The fugitive is cornered by Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) before Sarah returns to Salem.

So, could it be Ava wearing a Sarah mask? It seems so as Xander is shocked that Sarah is back in Salem. Plus, Abigail hurls an accusation at Sarah, indicating she doesn’t believe it’s really her.

It’s possible that Ava impersonates Sarah to get Abigail and Xander to stop the search. However, Ava will want Gwen to do something in return. It is confirmed that Ava will go to extremes to mess with Rafe and Nicole. Could she force Gwen to put on the Nicole mask in order to mess with Rafe’s head? It certainly sounds like something Ava would do. Plus, if Ava has access to the Sarah mask, then she probably has access to them all. As fans recall, Nicole was impersonated once before.
