The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and recap for Wednesday, January 12 reveal that Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) tentative peace is over. Hope warns Steffy and her mother not to take advantage of the turmoil in Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke Forrester’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) marriage. Steffy goes on the defensive: no one dictates her parents’ choices.

Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) calls a halt to the “kids’” bickering. Taylor offers her help to Brooke. Hope declines Taylor’s help: what Brooke needs is stability and security. Steffy believes Brooke is threatened by Taylor’s presence in town. Steffy reminds Hope that Ridge has two families. Hope thought they were one big family or at least that’s what they’ve been telling the kids.

Taylor say she and Ridge will see each other often, but she didn’t come back to Los Angeles to break up his marriage. When Hope leaves, Steffy regrets that things got contentious. Taylor says Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) is causing trouble for everyone. Steffy says Brooke is throwing Deacon in Ridge’s face by inviting him into their lives. Steffy can’t accept her father’s choice of Brooke over Taylor. Steffy says Ridge is too busy with the Logans and their drama to be proud of her and her brother’s successes at the company.

Steffy believes Brooke brought her troubles on herself and her father will get caught up in the drama. Taylor hates that their family was torn apart, but Ridge is happy with Brooke. Steffy is furious that Ridge has no support from the Logans. Steffy is happy Taylor is sticking around because Steffy, her brother, and Ridge need her.

Steffy asks Taylor to fight for her family and for Ridge. Ridge needs to be with the Forresters.

When Ridge is distracted by his cell phone, Brooke insists that he return to the office and stop babysitting her. Brooke is determined to figure out why she started drinking. She vows that what happened on New Year’s Eve will never happen again. Brooke promises she’s fine on her own.

Ridge loves that they can say anything to each other without holding back. Brooke sends Ridge back to work after thanking him for making her feel safe. Hope watches them embrace from the window of the main house.

Hope comes in and offers her support to her mother. Hope has a pressing question about Brooke and Hope’s father—why did Brooke do a complete 180 and erase Deacon from her life? Brooke doesn’t want to talk about Deacon and Hope hasn’t seen Deacon since New Year’s.

Hope wonders if Brooke blames Deacon for her relapse. Hope feels responsible for Brooke’s slip. Hope needs to know what really happened between Brooke and Deacon.

The Bold and The Beautiful Spoilers – Paris’ mother puts the screws to Carter

Dr. Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) is impressed by Paris Buckingham’s (Diamond White) workplace and the charm of handsome Eric Forrester (John McCook). Grace is proud of her daughter. Paris introduces Grace to Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), but Grace is already familiar with Carter and she’s not pleased to see him. Grace says Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) is happy and moving on with her life.

Carter says Paris has missed having family in town and realizes he’s the reason Zoe left and Paris doesn’t have her sister in town anymore. Grace pointedly reminds Carter that her daughters are driven and resilient and can take care of themselves. Carter knows that, which is why he recommended Paris for the Forrester Foundation position. Forrester is lucky to have Paris. Grace notes the sparks between Paris and Carter.
