Be that as it may, the rumor mill is on fire that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) could be about to turn Ashland’s fatal illness mystery recovery wide open. For one thing Victor wonders if Ashland might regret merging his company with Newman Enterprises. And if Ashland is suddenly declared cured, Victor’s Spidey sense would go haywire.

After Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) made noises about retiring, Victor wanted him to investigate for him and the speculation is that he will uncover some stunning things about Ashland. Don’t be surprised if Ash has been fooling everyone, and his target this entire time was NE. The suspicion was there in the beginning, but Victoria’s fawning over Ashland caused Victor to bury his doubts. He got on board with the marriage, because honestly, everyone thought Ashland was a goner.

If that changes, it actually changes everything. Ashland will be in the catbird seat and Victor will stop at nothing to make him pay especially if he toys with NE.

The Young And The Restless spoilers – What Wil Ashland Do Next?

Right now the character of Ashland could not be more fluid. Richard Burgi is out of the role and Robert Newman is in. There is no word on what comes next: a contract, a soapy death, a hasty retreat. Anything can happen including Victor finding out that Ashland is a fake. The kicker is this: Ashland and Victoria seem to truly be in love.
