Royal Family News: Prince Andrew High School In Nova Scotia Changing Its “Negative” Name

British royal family news shows that Prince Andrew is the defendant in a highly publicized sexual assault trial due to take place later this year. Now comes word that one high school named for the disgraced royal wants nothing to do with him and is changing its name.

To be clear, in the US where Andrew’s trial will proceed, the accused are considered innocent until proven guilty. And Andrew has denied the sexual assault charges filed against him. That makes not one lick of difference to Prince Andrew High School in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, which, “will be renamed as the sex abuse civil case against the British royal continues moving forward in the United States, school officials say,” according to CNN.

Similarly, across the United States the name of actor Bill Cosby was, “removed from buildings, workshops and a professorship as a criminal trial against him unfolded.” He was found guilty and sentenced to state prison, “for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting,” a woman, while dozens of women made similar charges against him.

School principal Craig Campbell told CNN, “We are changing the name to move in a different direction due to the negative reports about Prince Andrew. We hope to build our identity as a positive, supportive school community with a name to match.”

The next step is for local residents to submit new naming suggestions to a committee in charge of seeing that the school moves on from the stigma of being attached to the man given the nickname “Randy Andy.” The six person group includes students, staff and community members. Halifax Regional Centre for Education will decide the name from a list of the top three names submitted.

Prince Andrew Is A Pariah

The school’s decision follows the queen herself distancing the monarchy from her son. Earlier this month she released a statement saying that he has been stripped of his royal titles and will face the courtroom case as a private citizen.

Andrew royal is being sued by Virginia Giuffre, “who alleges she was trafficked by disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein and forced to perform sex acts with the prince at the age of 17.” Convicted pedophile Epstein killed himself in prison and his “pimp” Ghislaine Maxwell is awaiting sentencing on similar charges. Giuffre contends that both individuals forced her to have sex with their friend, Prince Andrew.

Andrew’s lawyer tried to have the case tossed but the court disagreed and it will be heard in the fall. Many royal and legal experts predict that Andrew has asked for a jury trial in a bid to entice Giuffre to agree to an out of court cash settlement.
