British royal family news reveals that while certain royals seem intent on taking down the monarchy, others are joining forces to keep it afloat and relevant. According to one royal watcher, Prince William and his father Prince Charles, both heirs to the throne, are working together to trim down the monarchy.

If true, it would be a welcome sign to many who think the monarchy is one scandal away from total collapse. This week Prince Andrew agreed to an out of court settlement with a woman who accused him of sexual assault. He denied the allegations against him, but settling for a sum said to be around $10 million dollars had many unwilling to give him the benefit of the doubt.

And then there is the always fomenting force known as Prince Harry. His latest zinger is a bizarre rant about not being safe in the UK. He has demanded that he be given the same level of security as the queen, despite the fact he has defected, lives in America, has been stripped of his titles, and complains that going home makes him sick. Yet he is actually suing for a perk that no one except him thinks he deserves. Making matters worse, police officials on Friday basically called him a fibber for saying that he offered to pay for police protection. Do better, Harry.

Royal Family News – Some Princes Are Trying To Save the Monarchy

Given the mud Harry and Andrew have flung on the monarchy, it should come as a welcome move that Charles and William think that, “less people mean less drama,” and they intend to do something about it. The royal insider told US magazine that the father-son duo have vowed to, “guide each other,” in their mutual goal of downsizing the monarchy to more closely resemble their European counterparts.
