General Hospital Spoilers: Valentin Grieves For Giving Peter To Faison As A Baby, Blames Himself For What He Became

General Hospital: Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart)General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that once Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) finds out Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is really dead, he’ll grieve, blaming himself for giving him back to Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) as a baby and for what he became in future episodes of General Hospital!

General Hospital Spoilers – Peter August Is Really Dead This Time, Anna Devane Calls Valentin Cassadine

General Hospital viewers will recall that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) made sure Peter was really dead this time, as he was barely clinging to life and she didn’t call an ambulance like she said she was. Chances are, he probably wouldn’t have lived long enough to be saved anyway, and although Anna didn’t regret her choice, in a sense, she felt that as his aunt, once believing she was his mother, she had failed him.

General Hospital viewers saw her mention this to Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) although she hadn’t failed him – by the time he came to Port Charles he was already too far gone; she could not have influenced any good in him. She also told Robert there in the halls of General Hospital outside Mac Scorpio’s (John J. York) room she had to call Valentin to notify him of the death of Peter. Unlike Anna, however, Valentin was in Peter’s life from the start – he had watched over him and tried to mentor him from afar at times as his own father Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) claimed his did over him.

Gh Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine, As Anna Devane, Feels A Combination Of Relief, Regrets, And Guilt

General Hospital viewers will recall how Valentin was the one who followed who he thought at the time was Anna, who he had a huge crush on, to the midwife she went to who brought baby Peter into the world. General Hospital viewers later found out, as did Anna and Valentin that it was her twin sister Alexandra Devane Marick (Finola Hughes) who had given birth to Peter, and Valentin followed after the baby, who had been given to a good family for adoption.

In an at the time misguided manner, it was Valentin who retrieved baby Peter from the family he was placed with and delivered to his father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove); an action Valentin has come to regret bitterly. But when Valentin finds out Peter is finally, irrevocably dead, he will grieve the baby who grew into a boy and then a man, wishing he had made a different decision back then. Valentin knows if he had left well enough alone Peter likely would have had a much better life and would have grown up to be a much better person, and because of this, Valentin grieves bitterly!

General Hospital Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine And Anna Devane Grieve Past Decisions And Comfort Each Other

General Hospital viewers will likely see Valentin and Anna grieve their past decisions regarding Peter and comfort each other, both knowing that in the end, there was nothing either could have done to change things. They both wish that Anna had known of her sister’s pregnancy and could have both followed her up to the midwife, because Anna would have kept Valentin, then known as Ivan Theodore from taking baby Heinrik back to Faison.

But back then, she didn’t even know about Alex – the two had been separated at birth and Alex was brainwashed to kill her, as viewers of All My Children will remember. Alex struggled with the combination of the brainwashing and the memory transfers between her and Anna the rest of her life and died evil; and unfortunately the evil in her and Faison gave Peter a natural proclivity towards it! Anna and Valentin will keep encouraging each other to forgive themselves for past decisions that they didn’t realize were bad ones; they must go on and move forward from this.
