Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick (Joshua Morrow) went public on ‘The Young and the Restless’. The now officially revived ‘Shick’ told Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor (Eric Braeden) that they’d reconciled. But will this once and now again super couple survive longterm?
Long-term deserves to be defined. Considering soapy calendar time, let’s say that Sharon and Nick will survive the eventual J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) body-dump reveal and last into 2019, at least.
Victor’s reaction was surprising, as he supported his first-born son’s decision and genuinely wished him well. The ‘Moustache’ has been deeply affected by J.T. having left him for dead and then attempting to kill him in the hospital.
Nick was appreciative of his father’s words and didn’t instantly reject the offer to return to Newman Enterprises. It’s possible, as Victor said, that the life-threatening situation that was experienced can result in something good. Better Newman family interactions have already occurred, so all remains possible.
While the Newman men were speaking, Sharon was having a different experience. Nikki was outraged that Case’s character had reunited with Nick.
Both women traded barbs and verbally underscored their dislike and distrust of the other. However, Nikki did openly admit that Sharon continues to hold power. Revealing the J.T. coverup would likely result in Nikki heading to jail.
Sharon told Nikki that she was involved in the conspiracy as well. So this unique aspect of their current connection almost certainly means that the former (and maybe again?) mother-in-law won’t be that boisterous where Sharon is concerned.
Has Sharon put herself in another trap by not telling Nick what she knows about the J.T. matter? Yes, but Nikki and Vickie’s (Amelia Heinle) lead links to that horrid storyline will significantly reduce Nick’s view of Sharon’s duplicity when all comes out.
Fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ rightfully express their opinions on a regular basis. So, will Sharon and Nick survive as a couple longterm, meaning at least into 2019? Please vote in our poll below!

Can’t stand Sharon being with Nick! Please make it stop!!!!!
No sense even saying anything these writers don’t listen and don’t care. Sharon and nick again really. How stupid is that. Time to clean house get rid of cane, victor to start and bring Kevin back and Adam.
Nick and Sharon can’t last . Sharon already has a secret . And they promised no secrets . So Sharon is already starting off on a lie . Can’t build a foundation on lies . Nick will leave as soon as he finds out .
I don’t know who dressed Sharon today her shirt and jeans and those shoes looked awful today .
