Royal Family News: Kate Middleton And Prince William Rivalry Revealed

Kate And WilliamBritish royal family news shows that Kate Middleton and Prince William were in attendance for the England vs. Wales Six Nations game at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday. They each rooted for different teams, and perhaps their oldest son Prince George, who was with them, was the tiebreaking vote?

William has been patron of the Welsh Rugby Union since 2016, and Kate recently took over as patron of the Rugby Football League and the Rugby Football Union. The man formerly known as Prince, Harry, Harry, was the patron before he drop kicked the monarchy and left to make money in America. Or as he put it, find his pot of gold, ie, “financial freedom.”

The Cambridge’s Were Rooting For Their Teams

The Sunday Times’ editor Roya Nikkhah was also at the event. She tweeted that Kate said George, 8, practices his “rugby tackling” on her, and her youngest child, Prince Louis already “loves the kit.”

Nikkhah also reported that Louis has, “started taking his referee whistle to nursery.”

Kate made her debut as rugby patron by visiting Twickenham Stadium to meet players, coaches, and referees from the men’s and women’s squads as they prepared for the Six Nations Championships. She was in her element, as she is a naturally gifted athlete.

Kate showed she is a good sport by joining a training session on the field. It was led by head England coach Eddie Jones and the talented future queen participated in a line-out play. This involved her being hoisted in the air by teammates in order to receive a ball after it goes out of the field of play.

According to People, “The royal couldn’t help but laugh as she was lifted, showing off her athletic abilities by expertly catching the ball and passing it to a player down below — and she was praised with cheers and applause following the successful play.”

Her in-law Mike Tindall, a former professional rugby player married to Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter Zara Tindall, praised Kate’s skills on his podcast: “I text Ellis [Genge] and said, ‘Mate, please tell me anything she messed up on,’ so I could sort of… family WhatsApp group, get to her. And he said, ‘No, she was actually pretty good, and she was really good at kicking,’ and I was like [sigh]. But she has this competitive nature.”
