DOOL spoilers reveal that Ava came back to Salem and was immediately roped into Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) money laundering story. Then, Ava got involved in the storyline centering on Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and Charlie Dale (Mike Manning).

Afterward, Ava suddenly got over her obsession with Steve “Patch” Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and began dating Rafe. Ava did try to change, but she always said it was due to her promise to Tripp. It seems that Ava was trying to be a good person because that’s the kind of woman that Rafe wanted, though.

Even though Ava did try to be a better person, there were some people who just wouldn’t let her be. One of those people was Rafe’s little sister, Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus). Instead of just letting the romance run its course, Gabi intentionally pushed all of Ava’s buttons. That’s when Ava’s goodness started to fade.

Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that Ava knew how Rafe and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) felt about each other. Ava even offered to walk away from Rafe so “Racole” could be together. However, Rafe and Nicole both chose to deny their feelings. Eventually, Rafe and Nicole gave into temptation.

They could have been honest about it but chose to keep secrets and lie instead. Eventually, Ava realized the truth. By this time, Ava had enough of being the good girl and reverted back to her old ways. It wasn’t just that Rafe cheated on Ava, but that she was also betrayed by her only friend.

DOOL Spoilers – No Regrets

Sometimes characters will realize they went too far and even regret their drastic revenge schemes. This isn’t the case with Ava, though. Even though framing Rafe is going overboard, Ava feels justified. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Braun explained,

“Ava is mob mentality. She tried to be a different person for Rafe. She did the things she was supposed to do, and she was lied to repeatedly. I don’t think Ava thinks she went too far. Ava thinks that Rafe and Nicole went too far.”

So, what is going to happen when Rafe is proven innocent? Will Ava have to face the consequences of framing the police commissioner? Or will she end up getting away with it?
