In tonight’s When Calls The Heart, it’s a new day in Hope Valley. In town, Henry tells Lucas he plans to stay with the company while May seems interested in when the next edition of the paper will be released. She reads the wanted sign for a recent hit and run. The suspect is still at large.

Elizabeth gets the news that Laura is sick. Robert is too. She needs a sitter for little Jack. Lucas offers. She heads to school. Meanwhile, May pays Nathan a visit at the jail. She offers to show Nathan how to work with Newton. He is surprised but takes her up on her offer.

Molly pays Bill a visit. She has a lot of questions about a gun he is inspecting. He reminds her to focus on her reason to be there – interior design. In town, Lucas takes Jack on a wagon ride. Across the way, Faith is happy she is having a phone installed at the clinic. Molly is with her. They are moving Faith’s office around. Molly vents. She doesn’t know if she has found her true passion just yet.

Nathan and Molly work with Newton. He is so happy to see his horse is getting back to his old self. At the school, Elizabeth and the kids see Lucas and Jack pass by. They have all kinds of questions for Elizabeth. Will she be marrying Lucas? She redirects them. Before they head inside, Elizabeth is greeted by the district superintendent, Mr. Landus. He has paid her a visit to tell her she cannot officially teach Angela because her citification isn’t valid given her school isn’t accredited. She is upset to hear the news.

Lucas asks Rosemary why Jack may be fussy. She checks him out and sends him to Faith just in case. At the saloon, Lee interviews Mike as the new mayor. Back at school, Elizabeth feels bad for Cooper who shares he doesn’t like the Superintendent Landus. Lucas also needs comfort from Faith who is nervous something could be wrong with Jack.

At the paper, Lee is surprised to learn Rosemary has confidential sources in several surrounding towns. She offers to help Bill who is still keeping an eye on Henry and Nathan’s business associate. After Bill leaves, Lee tells Rosemary how Mike has no plans for his time in office. He doesn’t know what to write.

Elizabeth asks Landus to leave after they argue about certifications. As he grabs his hat, he discovers it has been glued to the table. He tells the class they should be ashamed as they laugh. Elizabeth reprimands them.

Nathan asks May to dinner. She accepts. They plan to meet that night. Later, May pays Bill a visit. She explains to him that she is a fugitive of sorts. She sits to share her long story.

Elizabeth arrives home to find Lucas reading to Jack. Her heart is warm. At the saloon, Lucas stops in to get dinner for him and Elizabeth. Bill is also there asking Henry what he knows of the foundry associated Wyman who has connections to Lucas as well. Nathan and May meet for dinner.

Later that night, Elizabeth wakes Lucas on her couch. He had fallen asleep. She thanks him. He plans to come back the next day to help her again. They kiss goodnight. After he leaves, he is attacked in the dark. The next morning, he arrives back at Elizabeth’s. He tells her he walked into a door. He is fine.

Elizabeth addresses her class at school about Landus and the hat. She is hoping who did it would come forward. Cooper admits to doing it. Elizabeth calls in his parents. He is reprimanded. He is sorry but he would do it again. Landus has caused them all a lot of trouble.

Bill and Nathan see Walden come back into town after hearing he has caused some trouble out of town, something involving assault and murder. They head to talk to him. Bill demands his gun. His bodyguard of sorts tries to step in. Walden lets Nathan pat him down. He doesn’t have a gun on him. They warn him and leave. Lucas arrives right behind them to tell Walden he knows he got him attacked in the dark but he better not go near Elizabeth and Jack.

Elizabeth stops at home. She finds a phone has been installed. She heads to town. Lucas admits he wanted to install it for emergencies. While eating ice cream with Lucas and Jack, she agrees she should keep thee phone after saying she wanted to remove it.

In town, Joseph catches the man who was responsible for the hit and run. He hauls him to the jail. Nathan takes over. Later, Faith looks jealous when she sees Nathan and May walking and talking in town. She talks to Molly about love and relationships. Molly tells her she is content being single. She mentions Carson and how she hopes they might be friends one day. After Molly leaves, Carson calls. Faith looks thrilled.
